04 / ABOUT

From Etna
to London

I was born in Catania and grew up in Pedara, at the foot of Mount Etna. At five I had a toy keyboard. Then classical piano, which I played more by ear than from the score.

Coldplay got me onto acoustic guitar and singing, and from there into recording: I played several instruments but never together, and layering them was what fascinated me. At 14 I took up drums and was already recording in Logic. At 15 I made my first EP with my band, in a home studio: writing, vocals, instruments, engineering and mix. At 16 came studio monitors and an 8-channel interface, so I could track drums separately. From 15 to 20 I spent my time recreating Radiohead, Coldplay and Pink Floyd records.

At 20 I moved to London to specialise in recording, mixing and production.

Today I'm working on the debut EP of my solo project, Entropy. I'm the key player, co-producer and sound engineer in Krokodile, and I produce and collaborate with other artists.
